The One Constant Counselling Service is a client-centered Integrative Counselling service providing clients with the coping skills and techniques to enable them to deal with the ever changing and at times challenging journey that is life. As we progress through life we carry with us the sum of all our experiences. These subjective experiences are the foundations on which most of our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are grounded. At times our perception of our experiences, past or present, distorts our thinking, leading to ruminating patterns of unhelpful thinking. These unhelpful thinking patterns can leave us feeling a range of negative emotions such as feeling anxious, low, stressed, angry, frustrated and even hopeless which can then manifest in our behaviours on a daily basis resulting in us engaging in more unhelpful behaviours and habits to cope with the stressors we experience. In our sessions we aim to identify these unhelpful patterns and challenge their basis and subsume a more rational realistic and helpful way of thinking and behaving to replace the old negative patterns leading to more more positive and helpful responses to challenging situations.
The blog/newsletter will highlight important and useful topics of discussion around mental health while providing information to help and encourage you become more mindful and aware of your own maladaptive thinking patterns and behaviours which may be obstacles to you achieving your goals and becoming your ideal self.
